Psychedelics in Medicine
About Us
Ever wonder why psychedelics are becoming more popular in their use amongst regular people and those with medical needs? Our Psychedelics in Medicine Group aims to answer these questions by looking at the benefits, drawbacks, biases, stereotypes, and media portrayals of these substances. Substances like psilocybin found in magic mushrooms have been consumed by individuals and groups dating back to early human civilizations and are once again making a resurgence in our society. As future physicians, we feel it’s important to have a solid grasp on what these substances are and which of our future patient populations may find benefit from using them.
