Clinical Immunology and Allergy Interest Group

Canada is in the midst of an “Allergy Epidemic.” Close to 40% of Canadians will be impacted by at least one allergic condition during their lifetime, and these rates continue to rise. Clinical Immunology and Allergy represents a unique area of medicine, encompassing both pediatric and adult care, as well as several disciplines, including dermatology, respirology, gastroenterology, and otolaryngology. The Clinical Immunology and Allergy (CIA) Interest Group serves as a student-focused link to the Division of Clinical Immunology and Allergy at Schulich. This interest group runs programming to increase students’ exposure to allergy and immunology, highlight local opportunities within Schulich’s Division of Clinical Immunology and Allergy as well as regional and national opportunities, and foster community among students at Schulich who are interested in the field.
