Alliance for Accessibility & Inclusivity in Medical Education (AAIME)

Welcome! At AAIME we aim to address a current gap at Schulich by establishing a supportive and inclusive community for medical students with disabilities and accommodations. Our mission is to advocate for improved accessibility, help address ableism within the medical profession and empower learners with disabilities and chronic illnesses to thrive in medical education and beyond. We aim to promote inclusivity and diversity in healthcare by helping amplify the diverse voices, perspectives, and experiences of medical students who identify with disabilities and/or chronic illnesses. Through peer support groups and club events we will help create a welcoming and inclusive environment where students with disabilities and accommodations and allies can connect, share experiences, and support one another.
